I’ve been accused (sarcastically) of walking a thin line between “Jack of all Trades” and “Renaissance Man”.
Blogger, writer, tech writer, illustrator, website and blog developer are a few of the things I keep busy with.
I started developing websites in the 90s while working at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. I continued to work with websites while a reporter in North Carolina.
I later worked at Adobe as a tech writer and support engineer, where I focused on interactive and engaging software tutorials and how-tos - still my main focus. You can see samples of these in My Work.
The combination of these experiences has led to many interests, disciplines, and areas of expertise and while it may appear to spread things a bit thin I’ve managed to not lose interest in any of it while increasing proficiency in all of them.
I started blogging on a site I designed in Wordpress and later migrated to a larger more scalable content management system, Joomla, that I now work most often and enthusiastically when developing sites for others.
This eventually led to a blogging gig on The Huffington Post and national exposure. The majority of my posts have been featured on the front pages. I later started shamethebanks.org as a way for homeowners and other bank victims to tell their stories.
My passion for writing has taken me to political blogging, technical writing, creative blogging, ad and marketing copy, etc. I have no problem separating the styles, voices, and disciplines to get the job done and don’t limit myself to one area of research or journalism.
I continue to blog, fight for the public interest, develop websites and blogs, write and create technical documentation.
