So Firefox is crashing. It's a little tough to narrow a problem down to a specific issue when it happens randomly and always. And it's still another thing to keep bitching about it, like this guy does. I'll get into whiners who call themselves techies and offer no solutions in a later post, but then again it might be a waste of time if I have to dig through the millions of posts that fit that definition.
Any way ... Firefox crashes. A lot, on any web site during anything in particular. Including launching Firefox. You do get a nice window if you're lucky.

And of course you get one of these too. While I'd rather let them figure this out for themselves when I'm in the middle of an app not working, every once in a while I'll send this to the bug hunters to appease them.

In all you've got to wonder how, in this day and age, a mature browser that's gained the notoriety and wide acceptance that Firefox would crash. Unlike a lot of other things that crash constantly, Firefox has a pretty good support system.
There are a few things you can try that may resolve this issue.
- First find out if it's actually Firefox. You can do this by starting Firefox in Safe Mode, which will allow you to control how Firefox launches.

- One of your extensions or add-ons could be causing the problem. It's a pain, but you can test this by disabling them all and then re-enabling them one by one until Firefox crashes again - that should tell you which one is causing the issue. Here's a list of known problematic extensions.

- Plugins might be causing the crash too. You can find them in the same Add-ons panel and try the same steps as the ones you tried with extensions.
- Lastly, try filing the bug with relevant information at Bugzilla. Stuff like when it happens, what site you're on, version number, and extensions. Give the techs something to go on, other than "Firefox keeps crashing."
If Firefox is crashing and you have an nVidia chipset, particularly ethernet you might want to read this.
