Either there is no default mail client ...

I tried e-mailing a PDF from Acrobat and got this error:

Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

Outlook was set as the default mail client in Outlook. I re-checked the settings to make sure and sure enough, it was set as the default.

But, there is another place to do this.

  • Go to Control Panel and in the default view, click Programs > Default Programs > Set your default programs.
  • Choose Microsoft Office Outlook from the list on the left and click Set this program as default.

    defaultprogram

Click OK
