Turn Off Windows Aero Snap

While I think this is a pretty cool feature, some people might find the Aeor Snap a pain in the ass. If you drag a window to the side of the screen in Windows 7 it'll snap to the edge of the screen, taking up half of the real estate. Top of the screen will max it to full screen. If you're like me and like to move your windows off the screen you might find this annoying.

To turn it off
  • Go to the Control Panel and open the Ease of Access Center.
    ease_ctrlpanel
  • Select the Make the mouse easier to use.
    makemouseeasy
  • Click the Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen check-box.

ease_checkboxRemember that this will also keep the shortcut keys from working.
