The Mundo - Blog Post
A bike for when your roads are smooth, or not.
When things get a bit bumpy; it’s still comfy, fast, and built to last unfazed by whatever is thrown at it.
The Mundo is what you make of it- a mile eating carpet for modern roads, a commuter with room for everything but not a drag, your gravel and trail bike which feels great riding to the ride. The Mundo delivers a slightly relaxed position, reduced standover and more relaxed handling which holds the line on uneven surfaces including those potholes which seem to be invading all our roads! It's full of thoughtful touches.
The Mundo geometry adapts to you. With 32-48 mm tyres and a gravel fork, the Mundo makes a great “real road” bike. Fast, capable, easy to maintain and the sort of bike you’ll always find yourself grabbing first when you’re not sure what the adventure includes. Wider tyres for a supple feel and better grip- if there’s still a bit last year’s salt or dirt on your paths or aprons. We've got a great carbon fork to go along with your build or our stunning Ti pack fork.
We're pretty practical folks so these forks include the mountings for racks, accessories and fenders. Don't worry about the Mundo's capability off - road either. We build a lot with alt-bars and adventure and even flat bars. You can experience the very routes we test the Mundo on in RideGPS with All Day Adventures and the North Short Cycling Club route database. Every Mundo is individually tuned. Our 48cm model is designed around 650b wheels and 51cm to 58cm Habaneros will work for 700c or 29er wheelsets with 12x142 hubs in the rear and 12x100 or 15x100 wheelsets in the front.
